Quick Question about Chicken Pox

Hi, Just found out my nephew has got chicken pox, my elder 2 have had it but my 10 month old hasn't. My elder 2 have been in contact with him over the last few days but the baby hasn't, but she has been in contact with his mum (my SIL)

So what I want to know is can the virus have been picked up by a 'middle man' (ie. dd1 & ds or SIL) and passed on to the baby?

Please say no as I'm going on holiday in 10 days! Thanks

I think it is carried in droplets of saliva (eg passed by coughing etc) - so you could be exposed but probably not likely. If your littlie does get it - it will prbably be a very light dose. Can take up to 3 weeks to come out (faster I think if they get a bigger does - eg ds1 got it at school - took nearly 3 weeks, ds2&3 got it from ds1 in a bit under 2 weeks).
