Blood pressure something over 120, second reading something over 100 - (checked today).

Banging headache since Monday. Paracetamol makes no difference.

Slight sicky feeling but not being sick, no stomach upset.

Achey eyeballs.

Extreme tiredness.

No sign of cold or stuffiness.

Any ideas??? tia

The eye test will generally involve checking pressure on the optic nerve. If it's too high, they would suspect it's related to bp.

Think it'd be worth seeing another GP, tbh.

Ok, will go back tomorrow if I still feel this bad.

Thanks for the advice all, expat you are a fountain of knowledge as usual!

It should at least be considered. Believe it or not, so should diabetes.

hope you are feeling better QE!

Thanks for asking foxinsocks!

Head not so bad as it was but still there. This tiredness is crippling me though. People are starting to comment on how tired I look. I could fall asleep on a washing line atm.

poor you - really hope it isn't gf. Let us know what the doc says when you go back. Perhaps you need a few days in bed but doesn't sound like you'll get the chance!

Hi Queeneagle - just glanced over your thread - agree any persistent headache should be checked out and if your GP disagrees get a new one (again). YOu just mentioned lower down that you thought your old GP might have tested for anaemia? If you have a history of low iron levels then this is something you should ask for. A quick test you can do in the mirror is just to pull down your lower eyelid slightly - they should be bright pink inside, if they look more skin coloured/pale then anaemia's a possibility and can cause headaches like the one you described - along with the tiredness. Feeling sick can be a side effect of tiredness and being in constant pain in my experience.

But - get properly checked over. Hope it is just a virus or something mild and most probably is but better safe and all that.
