My 7 month old daughter has been diagnosed with Parvo virus (also known as slapped cheek). My normally happy & smiley babe is a screaming mess of grumpiness, tiredness and is off her food too. The rash has now gone, but when am I going to get my lovely baby back to normal?

Hi,

Afaik,my two having both had it they do start getting better quite quickly after the rash is gone. The appetite should return soon and when it does and she starts eating again I'm sure she will be the happy cherub you know and love
Just to let you know that adults can catch Parvo as well and that it can manifest itelf as viral arthritis. So if you wake up one day feeling very stiff and sore you may have caught it too -sadly no treatment, just wait it out (I had it for 2 weeks.) I think children can suffer from sore joints as well , so maybe that it contributing to your dd's unhappiness?
