Anyone know if there's a link between food intolerances & other allergies?

Older adult who has known allergies to wool, perfumes and some types of nuts (not peanuts tho). Long, long history of non-specific stomach problems. Basically this person is always in the loo. Often needs to go urgently, frequently, diarhoea (sorry for spelling and TMI). Worse when she eats obviously irritating foods like curry but bad even at the best of times. She does eat a lot of bread, dairy, cheese etc. Do you think there is any benefit in investigating things like dairy or wheat intolerance?

It is worth checking. I don't know whether there is a known link but there allergies certainly don't mean you are immune to intolerances. I do know people with both.
