I would like one of these. The skin on my stomach is like a pile of laddered tights and gets worse the more weight I lose. From what I understand there is a certain degree of damage to the skin, it loses it's elasticity, that can never be exercised away , I keep trying though.

Over recent months I have looked after at work several ladies who have had abdo plasty and they are up and walking round 2 days after surgery, 1st day on morphine syringe driver, second out of bed, 3rd day home. They have all been really pleased with the result though. There are only certain hospitals that offer the surgery though.

longwaytogo, any idea of a price?

buktus · 06/08/2006 06:24

the nearest hospital to me is about half an hour away which isnt too bad, would the surgery relate to similar pain from c section or hysterectomy

I only have experience of NHS and they have all been result of wasted muscle due to stomach surgery ie: hysterectomy, c sections, bowl surgery or because ladies have lost vast amounts of weight.

Oh, didn't know you could have it done on the NHS. Suppose it would have to be pretty bad for the NHS to do it.
