I had a minor op under ga 3 days ago, how long till I feel normal?

Because right now I'm exhausted.

They gave me a course of tramadol & codeine, I've not needed them but if I'd taken them as well I reckon I'd be asleep all day.

Last time I had a GA (also a minor op) I was on the floor for nearly a week, although the first 3-4 days were the worst. I really didn't expect it at all as I'm otherwise very healthy. A nurse friend told me it stays in the system much longer than people think, and a week is quite normal to still be feeling the effects.

Really? Oh bugger. Good job I have a week off work then.

I bounced out of hospital, must have been the drugs.

A week for me too. Was at my worst around 3/4 days post op, really woozy. But did enjoy the codeine

About 10 days for me. Hope you feel better soon.
