Hi all

ds has started to do a strange kind of head shaking/flicking as if he is trying to get water out of his ear. should I worry? I wondered if he could have some kind of ear problem but he seems cheerful in himself, just started solids and quite happy otherwise. any ideas?

How old is ds? My ds has just started the same thing - very funny to watch - makes me laugh. Didn't even think there could be a problem, thought he had just found another game. My ds is 7 months.

My ds is a bit older (15mths) but also does this. He stands in the middle of the room shaking his head until he gets dizzy and falls over

My ds did this, turned out he was imitating his grandad. He stopped when he went home. It feels kind of nice if you try it, so he's probably just doing it because he can.

It's just fun. It's like going on a roundabout or a rollercoaster - they like the sensation, and it's really good for them too.
