Silly question but can you use pessary thrush treatments if you are on your period?

I have a mild case of thrush caused by antibiotics.

Went to pharmacist. Asked for oral treatment. He said to use pessary as the antibiotics have caused the thrush and so oral treatment won't work.

Bought pessary treatment. Except I've just got home and my period has started.

So, I now this is a particularly stupid question, but erm can I use the pessary when I'm on my period? Blush I'm guessing not?

I have done before, it was fine and still worked. do it before bed and make sure it gets in the right place far enough inside, and use a pad rather than tampon or mooncup
