DS2 has had nosebleeds in the past. But since his op in January he hasnt had them. Until recently that is. He has had two in the last week. Today I went in to get him up from his nap and he was fast asleep. I woke him, he sat up, and it just started gushing out of both nostrils. Went on like that for a good 10/15 mins. Bedclothes and both of us saturated.

I can cope with the mess. But the worry is getting to me a bit. Brief background, DS2 had a benign lump in his neck removed ih Jan, but it quickly regrew. He is being monitered re poss lymph node problems.

Can someone tell me that nosebleeds in toddlers (without a bump obvisouly) is okay??

TIA

how old is he? my ds(5) seems to suffer from them on and off in the summer but they are quite mild. take him to the docs just to check it out, it's quite scary isn't it?

He's 2.1 SEA. My GP wont have a clue. DS2 has been under hospital and specialists units since he was born so the GP always feels out of his depth.

I know I was worrying unecessariy yesterday, but somoetimes I get to the point of thinking - what on earth is going on with this kid...?

Does anyone else in the family get nosebleeds? Quite a few people in mine do, so I don't tend to worry when my children have them - assume it is inherited. My brother had some blood vessels in his nose cauterized when he was little which helped. Do you think the nosebleeds are related to his other medical problems or is this something seperate?
