Try inhaling steam with a towel over your head if the blockage is 'inside' if the blockage is hard wax then soften it with olive oil 3-4 times per day. Try and get anurse appt to check your ears you might get one earlier?HTH

Sounds (ha ha) like congestion on other side of ear drum so drops for wax useless. Try a nasal decongestant like otrivine but don't use it for longer than a week.

zippitippitoes · 08/08/2006 17:41

thanks I got some otrivine spray and sudafed to try

If a wax blockage use olive oil twice a day. This softens the wax and it may go by itself eventually or at least the gp / nurse will be able to syringe it out. I just had the same myself, the olive oil does the trick better than ear drops I found.

JennT · 08/08/2006 17:46

Don't take sudafed if bf. Can inhibit prolactin.

zippitippitoes · 08/08/2006 17:49

thanks for the advice..I'm not bf
