Neck pain spread to arm now fingers

Fri my neck hurt, fro night I couldn't turn in bed without holding my neck it hurt too much, sat my shoulder ached, sun my elbow ached down to wrist, now my finger and hand where it joins finger hurt, slightly puffy can't bend properly.
I'm not ill, no temp
Had this new year too, after 3 days I was fine and presumed strained somehow. But for 3 days I couldn't move properly or lift a cup.
I don't remember pulling my arm or neck.

Sounds like you've got a trapped nerve in your neck.

Yes def sounds like a nerve compression. An osteopath would sort that out so I'd get it checked ASAP.

My thumb joint is now swelling and aching too so think I need to phone docs in morning, by the time I get an appointment it will probably be gone again.

Yes possibly, worth seeing an osteopath for a few visits to release it and help sort out what ever has made it reoccur.

I've had this happen a few times due to my upper back problems - really hurts!
