has anyone had a mirena replaced?

had the first put in under GA almost five years ago (couple of months to go to 5yr mark) - a bit that a replacement will be thrust upon me, as it were. Don't need or want another GA, but tell me the truth please....

Anyone had there's replaced after 5+ years when the threads have been missing since the first check up???
No problem with the 2st but wary of removal and now overdue .....
(Had scan ages ago so it is still there!)
