My dd ( 3months) had thrust on her toungue a couple of moths ago - all now gone. I thought. But now noticed white patches on gums and roof of mouth - is this thrush again (tongue ok )to start?

yes it does sound a bit like thrush again

was wondering if it could be a sign she's about to start teething?

If it wipes off it may be milk. If not it could be thrush.
