how to thank a doctor after surgery, advices please???

I will have my last assessment soon.
I would like to thank him and the nurses.
shall I write cards to them and how about flowers as well?

A card is the most treasured thing. I love it when patients write to me and my staff too. Chocolates are lovely and flowers (and wine!!) but most of all the letters mean a lot because it does actually take some effort to put it down on paper. Nurses love chocolates!
