Ovarian cyst providing serious gip

I am the proud owner of an ovarian cyst. we have been together for many years, thick and thin, two pregnancies which without its input would have .been much easier.
Anyway, it has been causing a lot of pain for the last two weeks. This has worried me. I am seeing a obs/gynae next week. I am thinking all sorts and made the stupid mistake of reading about it online. Mistake.
Can anyone give me suggestion about managing the pain till I get to see the gynae? I am using codeine which brings its own issues.
Would be grateful for any advice.

Hello! I had a 15cm endometrioma and tried several pain meds, codeine didn't work, the ones that did were

Naproxen
Tramadol
Oramorph (liquid morphine)
Butrans patch (morphine patch)

I have stage 4 endo so suffer badly with pain
