Hello,
I had the blood test today. Had a scan last week and they found a 4.5cm cyst on my ovary. I didn't know what the blood test was for until I googled Hmm
Now I'm feeling terrified. I have had pains in my ovary/sides/hip/back for a few months. So I went to the GP who sent me for a scan , and they sent me for the blood test.
I am also pregnant so worrying about that.
Pretty much worried sick about everything. Hmm
Has anyone else had experiences of this test?
Tia

Sending good wishes for a clear blood test and an easy pregnancy x

Please try not to worry garlic , the ca125 test is routine if you have a cyst on your ovary, but most cysts aren't a sign of cancer. I had this (in 3 pgs) and worried myself silly the first time. Did the sonographer say anything about what the cyst looked like? (A 'simple cyst' is most common I think and not likely to be anything other than what it sounds like. They often grow in early pg and also often shrink later). Good luck x

Thank you. I had an appointment with doc today who told me the test was indeed routine and that the scan report for cyst looked fine and didn't show anything worrying.
I'm now more worried about pregnancy. It's no4 , unplanned and I don't know if we can keep it. What it it's twins? HmmConfused

I had an ovarian cyst when I was 11 weeks pg.

It was excruciating. The nurses said labour would be a breeze.

It was in comparison.

Scan is vvvv normal.

Hello, got the results this evening and they are ok. They were 100 which is raised - normal is 35 she said, but they are raised due to the pregnancy. She said they don't refer unless the levels are 200. So phew. Thank you for being here. X
