Wonky teeth - what kind of braces

Hi, I have crooked front teeth and am thinking about getting braces. Has anyone had Invisalign or Lingual braces? Did they work? How long did it take? How much did it cost?

I had Invisalign 6 years ago, it took over a year and was a PITA as you have to take them out and clean your teeth every time you eat something or have a sugary drink. It cost about 3.5k I think. I will always have to wear a retainer at night. It worked very well for me considering how wonky my teeth were and how small my pallete is.

If I needed braces again now I'd get train tracks, much cheaper. I think other companies now do the same thing as Invisalign but for less, not sure about quality though....a good orthodontist should be able to advise
