Low dose oral steroid mouthwash & improvement in IBS/digestive issues; is this possible?

I'm on a steroid mouthwash for recurrent mouth ulcers - atm about 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off (apparently I'm supposed to take them for 6 weeks after each ulcer.....but if I did I'd never be off the bloody things

About 3 days in to a course my IBS gets better, a lot better and about 5-7 days after I stop taking them it gets worse

So does that make sense?

Are you sure it's IBS you have and not Crohns?

Well it was diagnosed in 1995; I've had tests to rule out Coeliac & UC.

I don't know how they test for Crohns

I have crohns and used to get mouth ulcers all the time. Crohns can appwar anywhere in the digestive tract. Hope you get them sorted, mouth ulcers are miserable.
