I got it too when I was pregnant and the gynaecologist told me it often occurs during pregnancy. Can't remember whether I had canestan or not, might be best to check. Maybe the chemist can advise.

Got it lots on preg, very common apparently. Just go to chemist, tell them how far preg you are and they will give u appropriate treatment. The chemist I went to gave me the pessary but took inserting needle thing away and said had to do it by hand myself as this can be inserted too far and may cause harm to baby or cervix.

Only prob is if you go to GP the treatment is free but hey, it's only about £6 anyway.

Yup, I am almost guaranteed to get thrush during pregnancy. Just get yourself to a pharmacist or a GP. I got a bit of grief buying it over the counter whilst visibly pregnant, so I don't know whether chemist might insist on a prescription.

Canestan is one of the brands (get the pessaries, not just cream), active ingredient is clotrimazole.
