Pain under left rib any gps on here to reassure?

I've had a pain under my left rib since last July. Numerous gp visits have concluded nothing. I've had chest x ray (showed possible consolidation but clear six weeks later) abdominal scam for major organs, stomach, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys etc all fine. Blood tests all fine but still I get this pain. It's there everyday. It doesn't double me up but more like a niggling pain like a pulled muscle. I do worry sometimes it's dime thing more sinister but I've had so many tests. Anyone experienced this? It feels different to the SI joint pain which shoots through me. I did have costochondritis in Sep but it's still here before and after that. I also have ankylosing spondylitis. X

I have the very same thing. Been told it's Costochondritis, but sometimes I get in a right state about it. Numerous docs have told me the same thing. I have a very prominent rib on left side and also my sternum swells up. Have you thought it might be Tietse syndrome?

I have this, Gp has told me twice that is GERD.

Course of omeprazole clears it up.

Thanks all. I'm on omeprazole every other day for my AS and funnily enough I do get costochondritis with it. I don't have swelling but it's uncomfortable. What is tietse syndrome? X

Ok just looked it up, looks like it's the same as costo but with swelling.
Is Gerd the reflux thing? X

I get a flare if I take anti inflammatory es - was bad Saturday and Sunday with it.
