Post partum hair loss and dizziness

DS was delivered at term 4 months ago by c section. He is EBF if that makes any difference.
I had anaemia throughout my last trimester so I'm wondering if it could be resurfacing now.
I keep having dizzy spells, mainly when I tilt my head back/ forward and I seem to be losing a LOT of hair, most noticeable when I'm washing and brushing it. Especially around my temples which is so upsetting. There is regrowth where it's fallen out though so that gives me some hope!
I'm going to the doctor tomorrow but I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar?

Yes! You need your ferritin level checked. When mine drops (heavy periods) I notice hair loss.
Are you eating well?

the hair loss is normal after birth as you lose a lot less hair when you are pregnant. When you give birth you then lose all the extra hair that has built up. Dont know about the dizzy spells, sorry

Moomin I'll make sure I get that done tomorrow, thank you!
Thanks for the link hoop, I know the hair loss is to be expected it's just the fact that it's all mainly at the front that's so scary Sad

I think postpartum hair loss occurs much later (well it did for me).

DD is 6.5 months and I think the hair loss is only just starting to slow down - at last. I did wonder if I was going to end up bald... When first born I would only need two loops to tie up my hair in a bobble, at the moment it's three or even four!
Also get dizzy but didn't link that to anything other than I'm doing a lot more getting up and down quickly from playing on the floor with her, or lifting her about and she's getting heavier. I was initially on iron tablets when discharged from hospital so if dizziness is a symptom I will think about making sure I make more iron rich meals again like I did in the early days...
