I can't have sex after having my baby.

I'm a regular. Have nc.

DD was born 6 weeks ago. I had a 2nd degree tear so nothing extreme but I've tried to have sex with DH twice now and it's excruciating. My stitches are healed but when we try to have sex it feels like my perineum is tearing and we have to stop instantly. We've tried using lots of lube but it doesn't make a difference. Can anyone help?

6 weeks is very soon, we waited 8 with DD1 (and it was still sore then so tried again more successfully at 11 weeks), with DD2 it was 14 weeks (due to extreme tiredness rather than anything else!).

I would let yourself heal for a bit longer then give it another go in a couple of weeks. Congratulations on your baby
