I would love to talk to others who have POTS

I've looked on the POTS UK site, there doesn't seem to be a forum. I'm not sure I particularly want to share my private feelings with half of Britain on this site - but please come and talk to me. I have just been diagnosed. It is wonderful to have an explaination for why I feel the way I do on a bad day (like I'm only 70% here). What have you found helped? My husband raised the head of our bed by 4 inches two days ago, and I can't quite believe it, but I feel pretty much all here today. I don't know what to think about that. I'm fearful for what the future holds. All my adult life I've had times when I felt a bit lightheaded (but never fainted). The last few years (I'm in my forties now) it has been worse every year.

I faint a lot, at least every other month, and am dizzy every day. Have been since I was a teenager, it was investigated and no cause found. My GP eventually said that maybe it was anxiety and "sometimes women faint".

I was then diagnosed with HMS this year, and spotted a link to POTS and think I have solved it. I've been referred over to the hospital again, and will hopefully have something official soon :)

Hi, thanks for your reply. In general doctors don't seem to very interested in fainting or feeling faint do they. I've been asked if I was anxious, and I felt the doctor was pondering over whether I have health anxiety, which I ended up pondering myself. Have you tried any self help/life style changes to remedy it?
