A friend of mine has polycystic ovary syndrom and is about to try and conceive. Has anyone else out there got this syndrom, and how if so, did you have any problems conceiving?

If you do manage to control your hormone levels you should be OK. When pg with ds I took progesterone until 13 weeks pg, though I have never suffered a m/c.

Good luck with your attempts!

I was told in my early twenties that I would have trouble ever concieving because of PCOS. I had terrible acne till I was about 28, was on antibiotics and everything to try and control it. When I hit my mid thirties my periods suddenly started coming with a semblance of regularity - previously could be up to 6 months between them. So when we started trying for the sluglet, we expected it to take at least 6 months to a year to concieve. It happened the very first month! Were we ever shocked. Dh of course was convinced it was his superior sperm. All those years of being somewhat cavilier about contraceptives because I thought it would never happen. I think I'm very lucky.
