Could stemetil have relieved my IBS?

I have been on a gluten free diet for 2 months now, and had noticed a slight improvement.

I got a stomach bug last week and the doctor gave me a shot of Stemetil to stop me throwing up.

I now don't have my IBS symptoms. Could it be the stemetil? It seems to go through your system very quickly, so I would be surprised if it is, but I can't think of anything else.

Even if it is, I'm blown because the tablets have wheat starch in them!

I'm not sure I was prescribed it for mornign sickness but never took it.
It is also used as an anti psychotic I found out after a few googles

It's used for anxiety, IBS is worsened by anxiety - I thought that may be a connection.

I know IBS sufferers can be treated for depression to relieve symptoms.
