Has anyone tried this this - friend is on it and has lost 10lbs in five days and feels fantastic. Am tempted.

[sceptical scientist hat on]
That 'tree syrup' stuff is more or less pure sugar - in fact, the drink you're meant to make up with it is about 6g sugar / 100ml.
Which is more than Lilt, and about the same as those Oasis drinks you get. If I was drinking five cans of Lilt a day I don't think I'd be hungry either, and I'd probably be on a massive sugar high and hence feel fantastic.

Sounds like rubbish to me.

What happens when you come off this?. The come down from all that sugar would be awful.

Its just another fad diet/quick fix thang that long term is not realistically sustainable.

Losing that amount of weight in five days is not healthy either. She hasn't lost fat that's for sure.

Incredibly, Michael Odent apparently recommends it - as do a load of other "health" practitioners.
