Thank you everyone for your support, i went and had the blood test and now need to wait and see the results, hopefully wednesday. For anyone else who is concerned the dangerous times in pregancy are 13-20 week and the last couple of weeks/days.
If you are not immune there is a vaccine but it is very hard to get hold of and according to one lady very very expensive so i shall just have to wait and see.
Thanks for the support and sorry for the ridiculous amount of times i pressed the same stupid button and kept posting the same thing i must look like a loon

Hmmm - 13-20 weeks - well I'm fairly and squarely in the firing line then - better hope I'm immune cos it's now over 10 days since first exposure! we need a fingers crossed icon!

Hi dinosaur, you are fine as you have had chicken pox in the past it means that you are almost certainly immune. So dont worry or go get a antibody test if you are concerned its only a regular blood test but everything i read seems to indicate that its really really unlikely that you wont be immune if have had CP in the past.

Stace & Dinosaur...Hi, I had cp whilst pg with ds1. I was about 29 weeks. They gave me an antibody injection about 3 days after the first sports to try to lessen the outbreak. It didn't work and I had a hellish 3 weeks.

Ds1 was fine. I was told that there can be problems early on (up to about 16 weeks) and also if you are infectious at the time of delivery, as baby can have a type of viral pneumonia which is pretty serious.

Hope you are both ok

Stace - let us know the results of your test - thinking of you.

dinosaur and all, thanks for your thoughts, i called the hospital twice today and they still do not have the results back from pathology. Trying to remain calm (hormones permitting) but they had better have a result for me tomorrow. I will let you all know. Thanks for the support it does help a whole load.
