A couple of months ago I went to the doctors because I could 'pressure' under my ribs (right hand side, almost at the very top) he had a 'feel' but could not feel anything, sent me for a scan which didn't show anything up either... Well now if I feel/press slightly in that area I can feel something, really odd because it doesn't feel like a lump but almost 'squishy'!?! Also I'm not sure if what I'm feeling is with my hands or what I can feel inside if that makes sense?!

I've googled to no avail, will go to the doctor after Xmas but any ideas what it could be??

It wouldn't hurt to go back and ask. Not sure what it could be but if you've had a scan that didn't show anything then I don't think you've got too much to worry about.

If it were me I'd maybe make another appt just to put my mind at rest.

They scanned my gallbladder, very weird feeling though...

fat? if there was a tumour it would have shown on the scan.

Could def be fat, putting a lot of weight on recently so would not surprise me!

I had a bulge once from my rib cage, doc said it was a hernia.

Chocamochalatte · 22/12/2013 08:38

Yeah I'd thought of that but so far it's not a bulge, when I press in the right place it feels kind of squelchy...

If you were a dog (which of course you are not - but i used to be a vet nurse) I would put money on it being a lipoma which is another word for fatty lump, they tend to feel squishy and "feelable" if it were something suspicious it would be hard and deeper inside iyswim

My dog has one of those.
