Cold sore virus starts off like this when you first catch it, then subsequent attacks are 'proper' cold sores on your outer mouth area.

Thanks, will have to wait and see if it's hfm, I am preggers and it said that it was more likely in preggers women. I hope not.

Be warned that hand ,foot and mouth is rife at the moment ,both of my dd's have got it .
symptoms can be ulcer/blisters on the tongue ,gums ,throat.General feeling of being unwell, sometimes a fever.
Spots /blisters on the palms of the hands and feet and buttocks and groin areas(dd2 also got them down her arms and legs)the symptoms may appear over a day or two

Pelvicfloor - your dd2 succumbed then?

DD didn't get DS's HF&M but got a whole different viral rash of her own, so I'm now waiting for DS to get it.

Oh, the joys of having more than one child.

Too right cads

lucy5 · 21/07/2006 21:43

Well they started to go down and now they are back! No other symptoms though. Any ideas of how to soothe my mouth. No rude suggestions ,

I once got tiny blisters on my tongue after eating a raw carrot - they didn't last long. I now get a warning tingle if I eat too near the top end.

lucy5 · 21/07/2006 21:56

Strange, isn't it? I did eat a very hot and spicy Thai dish, a few days ago, it could be that.
