No- Epsom salts is magnesium sulphate.

Effervescent Health Salts such as Andrews Liver Salts contain other things too ( Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate 22.6% w/w, Citric Acid 19.5% w/w and Magnesium Sulphate (Dihydrate) 17.4% w/w,Also contains: Sucrose 40.5%w/w ,Sodium content: 375mg per 5ml teaspoon ,Carbohydrate content: 2g per 5ml teaspoon) Other brands will have different ingredients in different proportions.

Commonly used to self treat these remedies have gone out of fashion, and with good reason, a magnesium overdose can occur if taken to excess.

Oveall best not to self treat, speak to your pharmacist or GP if you have a problem.
