Ok, at 8am I dropped something very heavy on my right big toe.
High pain threshold but it hurt like hell.after squealing "ouch My toe,can we move the stage off it please" and checking that my favourite animal print slippers were intact, it dawned on me that I may have done some serious damage.
Carried on working,on feet all day.
Gradually this afternoon and now this evening my ankle hurts a bit.
The nail is going purple and the tip of my toe is too.
Reckon it's just badly bruised .
What do you think? Any toe experts out here?
Please don't say "sit down all day with your feet up and wear crocs" Xmas Grin
It hurts a lot.
Thanks.

Can you bend it? (Not that I can bend any of my toes independently but isn't that how you're supposed to tell?). Sounds nasty - chop it off I say (or give me all your shoes…….) Xmas Grin

I did exactly the same this summer - 1 or 2 kg weight on toe. It was tender for days but I never had it checked out - not sure there is actually anything you can do with a broken toe?? My toe nail is still black and about half grown out now. Nice.

Tbh it doesn't make much difference if it's broken or not since the hospital treat payment is the same. Basically nothing. You can lightly strap the sore toe to the next toe with some wadding in between for support.

The bad news dips that broken toes take ages to heal. You can wear high heels if you like. It will be agony, though. Sorry, I was in Uggs for weeks.

If it's really sore you can take both paracetamol and ibuprofen. elevate and ice. It's an annoying injury because it hurts for ages and you don't get much sympathy. Sorry!

Right that's ok...can cope with the pain. shop I can move it and you can't have my shoes....cheeky. Tempted to wear flip flops to work to get sympathy people seem to think toes are hilarious. Xmas Sad
