My dd is now 2.7months and I only breast fed her for 4months. And ever since then my left breast has been slightly bigger than the other.

Gp told me it will settle and go back to normal over time. But it will be 3yrs soon!! Im worried...theres no lumps or at least I can't feel anything. .but I ge that soreness pain throbbing. Its so annoying!

Don't no what to do .am seeing my gp again on wed. Will request a screening.

The other thing is I breast fed my dd more on left than the right as the left always had more milk and now that side is the problem side.
Is that the reason why this is happening.

Has this happened to anyone else?
Is there anything I can do?

Gp did tell me I could take some tablets and they will dry out the milk but they are cancerous...and there is a risk of cancer!

Help please!:(

I would see another GP in the practice and if this practice are generally no good, change GPs. It is a far easier process to do these days and you need decent medical advice now.

re this comment:-
"Gp did tell me I could take some tablets and they will dry out the milk but they are cancerous...and there is a risk of cancer!"

Were you really told this by a GP, I think (hope) perhaps you misheard. The causes of this are certainly nothing to do with cancer at all.

Excess prolactin hormone levels leads to the problems you describe; tablets can be given to stop this.

Yes my gp told me the tablets hsve side effects. ..can one of them is cancer! Otherwise I have been happy to take them.

Will ask again on wed.
But is this a normal thing after pregnancy and breast feeding? ?? Or should I be very worried!

The tablets you've been given (are they bromocriptine or something like that?) will not give you cancer as a side effect. These will help clear up the underlying problem.

Do see the GP again asap and get them to explain all this to you properly. Do not leave there feeling confused and frightened as you previously have done.

Hi...I never got the tablets. ..I asked gp about the tablets and her response was "I would not recommend them"!

I will definitely ask about the tablets again. .inly problem is im seeing same gp.

Thanks for your input. :)

I would change GP practice, this one does not sound any good at all.
