I had operation about 7 weeks ago.
Before the operation the anaesthesiologist made a mistake entering the vein on my hand. When I asked what happened he said it was not important, it will only bruise.
I didn't mind at the time much, he was nice and my operation going safe was more important for me.
After about 2 weeks the bruise was gone, but the veins still look quite noticeable, large sometimes. they weren't like that before.
Feeling them like swollen on top of my hand is uncomfortable. I have a little discomfort on my middle fingers sometimes, too.
What can be the reason? What happened to the vein?
What must I do now?
This is worrying me really.
Thank you very much for your advices in advance. Thanks

I'm not a doctor but it sounds like this to me:

It may settle but may be worth asking for a doctor's advice.

Shall I ask to my gp or the hospital where my operation was done?
I asked my gp about 2-3 weeks ago, she said when giving anaesthesia they enter into the vein so it may take time to recover, but I am not sure, it has been quite a time now-7 weeks.

If you are not under hospital care at the moment I would start with your GP.
If you have a forthcoming outpatients appt at the hospital mention it then

Its happened to me with blood tests but it has usually settled after about a month.
