Why when you have a cold do you feel really rubbish at the end of the day?

I've got some kind of virus, not a runny nose but a sore throat and sore ears. During the day it's not too bad, but by this time it really starts to hurt. I was awake for ages last night because my ears were really sore. Going that way again now.

It's rubbish isn't it. My theory is that it's because you are tired and your body clock is in 'wind down mode' and is not fighting to perk you up anymore. That's not any help to you though - get well soon!

I always put it down to your body wearing itself out more fighting off the attack.

That or when you are having to push through during the day, you manage to put it to the back of your mind, but when you stop you really feel it.

I'm a week and a half into fighting off the latest lurgy and I'm tired now. I've had enough! I just want to breathe again Grin

I've got a sore throat but my ears are fine.

I will however be completely bunged up when I wake up in the morning after laying down all night and my throat will be full of solid green stuff that will practically take the skin off when I hack it all out.

Sorry if that was tmi. Grin

I sick too. Bad throat. Considering taking some of DD's Ashton teething powders? What do you think? Might as well. If she can have 'em surely they can't do any harm!

I sick too?!
Good grief that's terrible!
Sorry, I am sick too. Hmm

I quite like "I sick too"! It's how I feel Grin

IIRC it's something to do with natural histamine levels, but I've now run out of knowledge.

ilovemydogandmydoglovesme I had that not long ago where I woke up and felt like someone had been forcing razor blades down my throat and put superglue up my nose. Each morning for about a week I cancelled any plans I had for the day but by 10am was absolutely fine.
Love the name by the way, I'm the same Smile
