Dd (aged 4) fell against the interactive whiteboard in her class last week. She hurt her ear quite badly, and the top swelled to over an inch thick. I took her to minor injuries on the advice of the head teacher. She thought it might need draining, but nurse practioner said just to ice it.
Now a week later there is still a bit of swelling and some bits look very black. It is still tender to the touch. The skin wasn't broken in the injury but now the top of the ear has a patch of white peeling skin. Is this normal healing or something I should see the nurse at the gp's about?
