I've got such an earache. Could it be connected to the boil behind my lughole?

I had a monster boil start about two weeks ago. It had three head according to DH and, when pushed would spurt pus up my arm.
It has started to heal I think, but I've a throbbing ear. I imagine I've got an ear infection as I keep going dizzy. I am going to the GP on Thursday morning
Could the two be linked? How can I stop the pain? I have taken some Brufen 400mg, but it's still going bang. bang. bang

Could it be mastoiditis? If you think it might be I would go to OOH or A&E tonight.

I bloody well hope not. I didn't have any discharge from my ear, just the boil thank goodness.
I am optimistic it's connected to the sore throat and adenoids I've developed.

I had a sebaceous cyst behind my ear, on the lobe. When that kicked off and infected, the pain was agonising and it swelled up so that my ear stuck out like a handle. It took 3 tries with antibiotics to get some that actually got on top of the infection, I think in the end, I was sticking antibiotic drops down the ear and taking pills as well. it was horrible frankly.

Well, GP didn't think they were connected and gave me some ABX. I can't wait till they start working
