Do you know for sure there's asbestos?

I don't think once you've been exposed there's anything you can do apart from hope that nothing develops years down the line. I've been exposed at work before and work made me take all my clothes and shoes off so they could be burned.

I appreciate that's scary, but honestly the risk of it ever actually causing a problem for any if you is very low. (I'm a lawyer and used to do a lot of asbestos claims personal injury cases, so know a bit about the medical side).

Maybe see your gp for some reassurance, but try not to worry.

We were stripping tiles off the floor, my DS was helping it was very dusty. We were exposed to the less dangerous type apparently. My DH drilled into the more dangerous type yesterday. Bloody hell, he is a trades man and should have known about it. There was a register he should have checked before we started work and he didn't do it!!
Trying not to worry, we have all had coughs recently too. Am seeing my GP in a week or so, so will ask her.
Thanks for the kind replies x
