Goodness if they thought they needed to do something quickly, Christmas wouldn't get in the way don't worry...you'd be in there quicker than a quick thing! I know I found it hard as I wanted everything to happen instantly, but treatment has to be planned and in my case involved biopsies, scans, MRI, x-ray etc., all of which have to be arranged, so it was about a month from first appointment to getting going. From the medical point of view whatever it is has been there for months/years so a few more days won't make a difference, hard for us to wait patiently though when we're on tenterhooks!
Lekr - I've had keyhole surgery on my Fallopian tubes, so I can have a stab at some of you questions. I felt very bloated after and the pain in my shoulders was the worst bit at first (trapped wind, peppermint helps). The soreness in my tummy kicked in a few days later - I had some interesting bruises where the sticks went in and it felt like someone had kicked me in the stomach (not that anyone ever as, so I'm guessing!) Bending over (eg putting shoes on) was the worst bit. Overall pretty good though, and a much quicker recovery without a big abdominal scar. (Have also had two c/s)
Wren hope your surgery went well yesterday
A gentle to everyone doing chemo over the festive season.

Well I'm off for my rads planning appointment later. My very first tattoo ever as a present on Christmas Eve, how lovely
A bit of food prep to do first, then the crib service later :).
