i put one in Friday night, nothing has come out. ive had a good rummage and there is no gritty feeling and no sign of the pessary. im going to get dh to have a rummage with his longer fingers when the dc are in bed and see if he can feel it but in the mean time im wondering, where the hell has it gone?!

can it dissolve without trace? fall out without me noticing? work its way into my womb!!?

It's meant to dissolve isn't it? (never used one)

QuintessentialShadows · 24/11/2013 17:56

You sure it was not paracetamol you stuffed up there?

bamboobutton · 24/11/2013 17:57

yes, but it normally comes out in a chalky mess.

They melt without a trace.

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 24/11/2013 17:58

I used one recently and that disappeared without trace when I was expecting the chalky mess. Maybe they've improved the formulation?

bamboobutton · 24/11/2013 17:59

no, definitely canesten, i can remember tearing the box open in an itch induced fever.

Have they reformulated into a new less mess thingy? Maybe it now binds to the bugs and transports it and them magically into another dimension, sacrificing itself for the greater good of your foof Grin

x posting all over the place! at least im not the only one with a missing pessary. will give dh a rummaging reprieve.

Did it definitely go in? I thought I'd put one in once and when I looked it was still in the applicator.

bamboobutton · 24/11/2013 18:06

i thought that too but the applicator was empty.

NorthernLurker · 24/11/2013 18:09

Oooh i hope they've improved them. I had to take one once when pregnant and I woke up at 3 am and just had to remove the irritating chalky nightmare.

gobbin · 24/11/2013 18:35

I used one in the summer and it just dissolved, no mess.

bamboobutton · 24/11/2013 18:38

well that's a relief to know, i hated the chalky mess.

starfishmummy · 24/11/2013 18:38

Last one I used didnt leave a mess either

Elderflowergranita · 25/11/2013 11:34

Yes, just realised this myself this morning. They have obviously improved the formula!
