Why do I feel so dizzy.

Went to melbourne last weekend, and felt quite dizzy whenever I got the hotel lift. We had a floor to ceiling window on the 6th floor, so I thought it was vertigo.

I'm home now and still feel really dizzy. I was really tired, but I think that was just the travelling.

What makes you dizzy?

Ear infection - this might throw your balance out.

threebob · 13/07/2006 07:16

Could be the first 4 (deffo not the last one), I also could have an ear infection as everyone else in the house has some sort of cold and I don't.

It does definitely feel like I am compensating for something to stay upright, my back aches.

Sinus infection? This always makes me feel very heady.

threebob · 13/07/2006 09:38

I reckon it's my ears or my sinuses, but it's weird because I have no other symptoms. Maybe they are still to come...

How's you mum now? (you may have said before but I have't been around that much)

MrsJohnCusack · 13/07/2006 09:45

how's your mum now. HOnestly, my typing is rubbish at the mo

i had labyrinthitis a few years ago and felt dizzy standing up and the room would spin if you turn over in bed or something (dh keen to take credit for earth moving in bed but had to put him right). not nice!
i also have low blood pressure, which is different dizzy, tends to happen when stand up.
hmmm, i sound really dizzy don't i? i'm not, honest. anyway labyrinthitis needs gp and so does low blood pressure i guess but nurse told me yesterday to not miss meals and drink plenty so you could try that and see if things improve?

Yesterday I was teaching and I suddenly thought "oh, God I'm going to vomit". Fortunately I could hold on until pupil had gone and my dad had to stand and the door and send the next pupil away with the sound of me retching in the background .

A horrible 12 hours of throwing up and stomach pain followed. I got even more dizzy due to being dehydrated.

So I think it may have been the early symptoms of a bug.
