chipped tooth ripping my mouth (esp tongue) to shreds - any advice?

to help me avoid the dentist

I had my last 2 (right) wisdom teeth out last month, and because I've been eating on the opposite side my gum is swollen and tender where my left wisdom teeth were, and I think one of my molars has chipped. My tongue is really swollen and covered in ulcers. I can't eat and my face is throbbing.

Anyone have any tips or advice? Please?

Oragel will help in the short term, but you'll need to see a dentist at some point. They'll either fill it or file it. I had a chipped front tooth that would catch my tongue and was pretty painful, but it was fixed in seconds.

Until then, lashings of oragel.

Yep, or orthodontic wax.
But ultimately, just get it filed. It's very common.

Oragel is a bit like Bongela, apart from it has anaesthetic in, so it's a god send in situations like this. It lasts a few hours once you put it on, which is nice.

You can get it from most supermarkets and chemists.
