Had dc2 3 months ago. I got piles towards the end of the pregnancy and they have not gone. They are not huge but are uncomfy. Have tried Anusol cream and suppositories. Makes it better but when I stop using them, they immediately reappear. Nothing like this happened with dc1. Both kids delivered by c section, diet ok, going to the loo regularly, so just want them to bloody well go! It is enough now and difficult to deal with whilst looking after a toddler and baby, and I am sick of the discomfort. Any tips on how to get rid of them? I know we put up with a lot worse around childbirth but seriously...piles should be outdated! Help and advice gratefully received...

Have you tried Anusol HC? It's over the counter rather than off the shelf.

If it's not working a visit to GP could be in order.

Sounds like you got off lightly compared to me Grin

Erm..doctors??!

Get to the GP.

There are stronger creams which they can prescribe. If that doesn't do it, then maybe surgery is necessary.

Am suffering myself, at the moment, and am on waiting list for an op. Wish it would hurry up!!

Tis a common problem I'm afraid, go and see your G.P... Xyloproct cream (prescription only) is better than over the counter stuff, good for shrinkage and comfort as contains a local anaesthetic.
