A friend of mine recently took her (utterly beautiful) 16 year old son who had acne to a dermatologist and he had a course of white light treatment. It worked a treat and wasn't that expensive. I am prone and would try it myself if it raised it's ugly head again.

My nephew, same age has been put on steroids and Roacutane which is really powerful. It works but has potentially very serious side effects. Try the white light first.

My son tried antibiotics without a lot of success. He also used tea tree oil products which he liked.

Finally (what a spotty lot) I was on the progesterone only pill for a bit which did help but maybe not an option for your boy .

I had acne until about 30. I tired devils claw. I'm not particularly in to herbal stuff but was pretty desperate . Within a few days I noticed a HUGE difference - after SOmany years.

I hope it works! You need the tincture - put it under the tongue for about 1minute - or whatever it advises. This is sub lingual absorption.

I know everyone's different I hope this works but if not, keep trying.

May I add - after topical shit, anti biotics and the pill - nothing worked
