First day of period and am spinning out

I feel absolutely horrendous. Never felt like this before.

Head spinning, feel panicky and very detached from my body and the world!

I've got ds2 and ds3 to look after so this is not at all great!

Why is it suddenly so very weird?

I used to get this awfully. For about a week before and first day or two of period - dizzy, lightheaded, shaky, weak, icy cold, exhausted, ravenous, detached and wooly headed and often a bad headache.

The usual things to try are evening primrose/omega 3's and eating little and often throughout the day. Lots of complex carbs such as bananas, wholemeal bread, nuts, seeds and to really watch your refined sugars which can cause rapid swings in blood sugar that can make dizziness/headaches/fatigue worse.

I don't know why you should suddenly get this though if you've not had it before. I used to go through a phase of getting certain symptoms for a few months and then I'd have different ones. It was like a mix and match of PMT :(

Also worth seeing GP if you do get this sort of thing regularly. I'm menopausal now so am lots better but there might be new thinking/treatment for some of the more troubling PMT effects that they can suggest. Hope you feel lots better tomorrow.

Pirates, thank you.

I feel a lot better already. It was likes very intense version of how tired I usually feel. I'm 42 so maybe peri menopausal? It's rotten - started with periods that used to make me throw up from 17 years old to blardy panic attacks at 42.
