Lost voice and REALLY sore throat

I started with a cold - rather benign. Had friends over last night so a couple of glasses of wine (not too many as friend is preggers) - started losing my voice about midnight. Woke up with a muzzy head and REALLY sore throat and losing my voice (with 3 kids is a challenge). Normally I feel well-ish with laryngitis (had it regularly over the years - I used to get it more when in smoky pubs and this is the first time I've had it in over 10 years). But I don't remember my throat being REALLY sore with it. I don't have a temperature but I feel really knackered and as I say muzzy head/sore throat. Do you think something a bit more sinister is brewing. I've had one thing after another since my son started school and feel so run down. But I can't afford another day off work (this would be about 5 days since I returned from mat leave in Feb - I've never had so many!). Though if I feel like this tomorrow ...
