Reassurance please, blood in urine, sent for tests!

Hi all.

I went to docs this week with low right hand side back pain which I have had on and off for a few weeks now. Doctor did dip test on urine and found trace blood and infection, and gave me 3 days of anti b's but said to come back after 3 days if back pain the same as wasnt convinced it was uti as no symptoms.

So, went back today as pain is the same, urine tested again for trace blood but no infection. Doctor said he now wants CT scan of kidneys, full blood test etc. I suffer from HA anyway, and now my mind is in overdrive and struggling to stay off dr google.

Anyone had similar experiences?

blood in urine is a bit scarey - anti/b's should clear it when you get the right ones. Prob the infection wasn't in the bladder, so your first lot didn't work. other causes eg little kidney stones are easily dealt with once they are diagnosed

I have kidney trouble and in always getting infections.

Plenty of water to flush ot out naturally.

Some swear by cranberry juice.
When I was younger I would have lemon barely water and that did helpm don't ask how I dont have a clue lol.
