Did you anybody watch Trust me, I am a doctor? Are you as surprised as me that basically a bowl of porridge a day can help good bacteria in your gut in a more beneficial way than probiotics? Why is this not much more widely advertised???

Yes i watched it&was surprised too!
I take probiotics evey day in tablet form as part of a multi vitamin
I used to have a yakult every day but theyve got too expensive
The tablets are cheaper&last longer!
I get ibs so need the probiotics help which the programme did say if you suffer any bowel disorders then you do still need them
The oats wont be enough!

Purely anecdotal, but daily porridge and prunes really helps me!!

Apologies if TMI but my lower bowel easily gets out of balance with either constipation or loose, a good movement actually makes my day.
