Lyme disease

Can anyone tell me if they have ever had this, and what symptoms. I had a couple of bites on my leg, about 5 weeks ago, and now i am feeling really off colour. Flu like, dizzy and really exhausted, thought it might be worth getting a test.

my brother had this.
his symptoms were basically that of meningitis - sensitivity to light, sore neck, vomiting, headache. he then did develop meningitis (viral meningitis from the lyme disease virus). hth

They had awoman on "This Morning" last week who had this. It might still be on their site if you hae alook....

My mum had this from a sheep tick she got whilst dog walking in Dorset. She had a hard job convincing her GP but in the end he had to agree with her diagnosis.

It's quite nasty I'm afraid. I think there's a characteristic ring around the bite. There's lots of stuff to be had on google but most of it is in the States where it's more common.

Demand your gp take lymes into account if you have any suspicion. Though I'm not sure what they can do about it.

My mum is completely well now btw but it took a few months.
