Feeling nervous about my follow up colposcopy.

In May, I had my first smear, age 25. The results came back with severe dyskariosis (or CIN 3). I was terrified, and had a week to wait for a colposcopy to find out more. Luckily, there were only a few affected cells, and I was assured that they had not yet become cancer. They removed the abnormal cells there and then.
I haven't really thought about it since. I have a follow up in a few weeks to ensure that it has all gone back to normal, and I can't stop thinking about it. I'm so worried that they somehow made a mistake and there will be loads more abnormal cells. Has anyone been in this position ?

I have just been through this, August 12 abnormal smear, them 2 x lletz sept and oct due to unclear margins. Apr 13 colposcopy and smear no abnormalities oct13 smear no abnormalities.

I know it's a worrying time even a year on I have been nervous waiting for results however once you've been you will at least know and hopefully be reassured.

I'm in the same position as you. My follow up colposcopy is sometime next month and I'm getting anxious about it. I'm sure it will be fine for the both of us and we are bound to be more nervous due to having abnormal smears. Chances are things would have gone back to normal :)

Thanks to you both for the replies. The sensible part of me knows it will be OK, but I can't help the 'what ifs''. I just want it all to be over.
