Anyone used Colocynth granules?

My hv recommended Colocynth granules for ds (6 wks) who is a bit colicky. Got them at the chemist but they weren't able to advise me on how they should be used - i.e. how many granules per dose; with every feed?; before or after feeds etc etc. They just said i should ask my hv (who is unavailable atm). Anyone used them before?

Hi CMac I used them with dd and they were great. I poured a small amount into cap then put finger in and usually a small amount would stick to finger (about 10 or so) and then put on dd tounge to disolve. You can give every 15-20 mins if need be depending how bad the colic is. I tended to give just before a feed and then any other time I thought she needed them. Hope that helps and hopefully they work for him.
